If a spot above vacates or drops, every lower occupied rank moves up together. Nobody can pay extra to pass you.
Save a failed renewal
You get 72 hours to fix a failed payment without losing rank or streak. After grace expires, you drop to the bottom and restart at day zero.
The rules
The board must be understandable from the page itself. These are product rules, not fine-print surprises.

DropA failed renewal starts a 72-hour grace period. Recovery during grace preserves rank and streak; recovery after grace keeps the subscription but restarts at the bottom.
LeaveCanceling marks the row as leaving. It remains visible through its paid-through date and then vacates. Resuming before that date preserves the streak.
ThroneRank #1 never fills by ordinary cascade or instant claim. When vacant, it is awarded through a public auction. Once occupied, it follows the same protection and rent rules as every other rank.
